Every setting in config.toml.
All settings live in one file, ~/Lectures Data/_System/config.toml. stenny init creates it. Paths may start with ~.

Setting Description
vaultYour Obsidian vault. lectures_dirThe folder inside the vault for transcripts. Stenny never writes elsewhere in the vault. data_dirWhere audio, raw output and logs go. Default: ~/Lectures Data. keep_audiotrue archives the audio. false doesn't; your original file is never deleted.

pause_shortcutThe shortcut that pauses and resumes the recording from any app. Default: "cmd+shift+ü". Write modifiers (cmd, shift, ctrl, opt) and one key as printed on your keyboard, joined with +, for example "ctrl+opt+p". The key can also be space or f1 to f20. Restart Stenny after changing it.

deviceThe default microphone. Unset, Stenny uses the system's input. See stenny devices. backup"auto" uses the Mac's own microphone as a backup, "off" turns it off, or name a microphone.draftfalse only records, without a live draft.provisionaltrue also shows the sentence being spoken, in italics, replaced seconds later. Costs battery. Off by default.
One table per course. The name is how the course appears in your vault.

languageA language code like "en", or "auto" or "mixed". See Languages . languagesThe languages to choose from for "auto" and "mixed". aliasesShort names for the terminal. Aliases of three or more letters also match calendar events. calendarExtra words that mark a calendar event as this course. tagsTags for the course's notes.
